This guide covers the golf courses from Nueva Andalucía, Marbella’s Golf Valley, west through Benahavís and Estepona to Casares and Manilva, with a short note on the courses east of Marbella town. For each course it gives the holes, the designer, the opening year and who can play, as the club’s own website states them in October 2026. Then it names the new developments and villas on file beside each course, with their starting prices. The courses in Mijas, from La Cala to Mijas Golf, have their own guide, so they are not repeated here.

Who can play
Owning a home beside a course gives no right to play it, and on this stretch some of the best-known courses are members’ clubs. Las Brisas states that guests may play only in the company of a member, that a member can bring three guests at a time in mid and low season and one in high season, and that a non-member plays no more than eight rounds a year. Aloha describes itself on its own site as a private, members-only club. La Zagaleta’s two courses are private to the estate. Guadalmina has belonged to its members since 2021 and today has more than 2,000 of them. It still publishes rates for visitors.
The others take bookings from visitors. Los Naranjos is a club with a limited membership that welcomes visiting golfers. El Paraíso, with about 500 members, is open to green-fee players every day. At the Marbella Club course the handicap limit is 28 for men and 36 for women. If golf is the reason for the move, read the club’s membership terms before the house’s particulars.
Nueva Andalucía: the Golf Valley
Nueva Andalucía is the district behind Puerto Banús where Las Brisas, Aloha and Los Naranjos sit together. Las Brisas was founded in 1968 by José Banús as the Club de Golf Nueva Andalucía, inaugurated with Puerto Banús in 1970, and renovated by Kyle Phillips in 2015, according to its history. Los Naranjos was built on the same estate, just to the north, and opened in 1977. Aloha’s first drive was struck on 25 October 1975. The district averaged €6,239 a square metre on idealista’s asking prices in August 2026, against €5,956 for Marbella as a whole.
- Be Aloha, finished two-bedroom apartments uphill from the Aloha and Las Brisas courses, from €470,000.
- Isla Bela, apartments and penthouses four minutes from Los Naranjos, from €785,000.
- Aloha Forest, a nine-minute walk from the Aloha club, from €1,237,793.
- Villa Pacific, four bedrooms 0.2 km from the Las Brisas course, €3,895,000, and Villa Mirage, six bedrooms frontline to Los Naranjos, €8,795,000.
San Pedro and Guadalmina
Guadalmina is at the western edge of San Pedro de Alcántara, which averaged €4,600 a square metre in August 2026, the lowest of Marbella’s districts. Javier Arana’s South course was inaugurated in 1959, the North followed in the 1970s under Folco Nardi, and a nine-hole par-3 course was added in 1989.
- Breeze, 34 apartments, duplexes and penthouses on the edge of the Guadalmina course, from €690,000.
- Be Seven and Blume, four-bedroom houses 2.8 and 2.9 km from the course, from €4,350,000 and €4,490,000.
Benahavís: La Quinta, Los Arqueros and the estates
Benahavís is a municipality of its own in the hills behind Marbella, averaging €5,413 a square metre in 2026. Its courses include La Quinta, with 27 holes in three loops named San Pedro, Ronda and Guadaiza, Los Arqueros, the Marbella Club Golf Resort, the three Villa Padierna courses and La Zagaleta’s two.

- Villa Marbella, seven bedrooms inside the gated Marbella Club Golf Resort, €10,700,000.
An estate’s name is not a distance. Penthouse Lina is in Real de La Quinta, and the La Quinta course is 7.2 km from it by road. Check the drive, not the address.
Atalaya, El Paraíso and El Campanario

Villa Three is 0.4 km from the course, with views over it, at €2,990,000.
Estepona Golf, Valle Romano and Azata
West of Estepona town are three more courses. Estepona Golf was designed by José Luis López in 1989 between the Sierra Bermeja and the sea, Valle Romano by Cabell B. Robinson, and Azata Golf sits opposite the new hospital.

Casares and Manilva
At the western end, Finca Cortesín is an 18-hole course by Cabell B. Robinson that hosted the Solheim Cup in 2023 and the Volvo World Match Play. Doña Julia, designed by Antonio Garrido, lies in Casares with part of its boundary on Manilva. La Duquesa, a Robert Trent Jones course, has been open since 1986 at San Luis de Sabinillas.
On Casares Costa:
- Las Terrazas de Cortesín Bon Air, 51 apartments and penthouses inside the Finca Cortesín estate, with the course below, from €599,200.

In Manilva, Moon 64 sits in Los Hidalgos below La Duquesa golf, from €375,000, and the penthouses at Alonia look over the golf course and the sea, with homes from €288,000.
East of Marbella town
Marbella’s eastern side has its own courses, and the pages for Río Real and Los Monteros and Elviria and Cabopino cover the homes around them. Río Real, by Javier Arana, opened in 1965 with 18 holes, par 72. Santa Clara, 18 holes, par 71, by Enrique Canales, has been open since 2000. The Robert Trent Jones Sr. course long known as Marbella Golf Country Club has been run as Higuerón Marbella Golf Resort since November 2025, and Santa María is an 18-hole club open to members and the public. On file there are Royal River, on the Río Real golf estate, from €1,200,000, Santa Clara Homes, finished apartments on the Santa Clara course, from €1,250,000, and Villa Andrea, next to Santa María golf, at €2,999,000.
What a golf home costs here
Prices on file run from €288,000 at Alonia in Manilva and €320,000 at Eagle Hills by Estepona Golf to more than €10 million for the largest villas in Benahavís. The pattern follows the towns. Estepona averaged €4,307 a square metre on 2026 asking prices, Benahavís €5,413 and Nueva Andalucía €6,239 in August 2026, so the same money buys more floor area beside a course in Estepona than in Benahavís or the Golf Valley. New developments beside a golf course lists every development on file within three kilometres of a course, as the developers state the distance, and the resale villas and penthouses are under Luxury property.
Prices for new builds are before VAT at 10% and stamp duty at 1.2%. A resale villa pays the 7% transfer tax instead. At the top of the range, a villa in Benahavís or Nueva Andalucía also raises the wealth tax question, and wealth tax in Andalucía sets out how the region treats a home of that value.
What to check
The checks for any home beside a fairway, from which hole it faces to the maintenance machinery at nine in the morning, are set out in the Mijas golf guide linked above, and they apply here too. Three weigh more on this stretch.
- The club before the house. At a members’ club, the membership terms decide whether you will play at all. At a pay-and-play course, the green fee is a cost like any other.
- The estate around the course. A gated golf estate such as the Marbella Club Golf Resort, with security around the clock, has running costs of its own. Ask for the home’s community fee and any estate charge, both in writing, and read community fees in Spain for what sits behind them.
- The drive. An estate or district name can cover a wide area. Measure the drive from the home to the first tee, the beach and the shops, as the Penthouse Lina example shows.
How I handle it
On a golf-side purchase I start with how you will use the course. If you want to play at a members’ club, I find out what membership involves before we look at the houses beside it. Then I research the home and the estate around it, compare it with the new developments and resale homes near the same course on the same terms, and give you a straight view of what it is worth.
Once you choose, I negotiate the price and the terms on your behalf and work with your independent lawyer through the checks and the signing. If you are weighing one course against another, book a call and we can go through them together. Buying with me sets out how I work.
