La Cala Valley: new build villas in Mijas from €955,000
Three, four and five bedroom homes · Under construction
from €955,000Before IVA
A gated development of 16 villas and townhouses in the hills above La Cala de Mijas, where the semi-detached villas have four bedrooms, a basement and a private pool. Handover is estimated for November 2026, from €955,000.
The lowest-priced home, a four-bedroom villa, works out at €3,412 per built square metre. Mijas averages €3,684 a square metre on idealista’s 2026 asking prices, so these villas come in a little under the average for the municipality. The built area here counts the basement, with its garage for two cars, and a share of the communal areas, which spreads the price over more metres than the living space alone. The price table for the area is on the Fuengirola & Mijas Costa page.
What is being built
La Cala Valley is a gated development of 16 homes in Lagar Martel, on the road that climbs from La Cala de Mijas toward La Cala Golf. It combines semi-detached and detached villas with townhouses. The semi-detached villas have four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The living room, kitchen and a bathroom open onto a terrace around an infinity pool and a private garden, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The basement adds a fourth bedroom with its own bathroom, a large multipurpose room, a laundry and a garage for two cars. The villas face south-south-east.

The specification
What comes with every home.
Structure and walls
A reinforced concrete structure, checked by an independent technical inspector. The outer walls are built with a cavity and insulation and finished in white render. Walls inside are plasterboard with rock wool to keep sound down, and the wall shared with the neighbouring villa is brick lined with rock wool.
Windows, doors and wardrobes
PVC frames with double glazing, and safety glass on the railings. A reinforced security door at the entrance, white lacquered doors inside, and built-in wardrobes with drawers in three of the bedrooms.
Kitchen
Fitted in full with a quartz worktop, in a choice of finishes, and integrated Bosch appliances: fridge, oven, microwave, induction hob, extractor, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
Air conditioning, heating and hot water
Ducted air conditioning with a heat pump on the ground and first floors, controlled room by room and from a phone, with the basement prepared for it. The upstairs bathrooms have electric underfloor heating. Hot water comes from an aerothermal system, which takes heat from the outside air rather than burning gas.
Floors and tiling
Porcelain tiles 60 centimetres square throughout, and a choice of five tiles for the bathroom walls.
Bathrooms
Roca sanitaryware with rimless toilets, resin shower trays with glass screens, vanity basins and water-saving taps.
Pool and garden
A private infinity pool with a salt chlorinator and lights for the evening, handed over filled and running. The garden is planted and watered automatically, with outdoor lighting and a hedge along a two-metre boundary fence.
Power and later additions
USB sockets in the living room, kitchen and bedrooms, and motorised blinds in the south-facing bedrooms. The villas are prepared for solar panels, an electric-car charger and a smart-home system, which can be added at extra cost.
The kitchen and dining area, with a marble-effect island and bar stools along it.
BB is the rating on the certificate issued at the design stage, for the energy the villas use. The final certificate follows on completion. The Spanish scale runs from A at the top to G at the bottom.

The villas are close to finished. Handover is estimated for the end of November 2026, with the deeds to follow in December. A €10,000 reservation is followed within 30 days by 30 per cent of the price at the private contract, and the other 70 per cent is paid on completion, each with IVA on top.
The villas are far enough along to visit, so we can walk round one together before you commit. I then follow the last weeks of work, confirm the paperwork is in order before the 70 per cent is paid, and check your villa room by room at handover.
