That sits about a quarter above the €4,593 a square metre La Cala de Mijas averaged on idealista’s asking prices for August 2026. The price list counts each home’s share of the shared parts of the building in its area, which a resale advert usually leaves out, so measured on the home alone the rate would be higher still. What is being built

Bahía is a completed scheme of apartments and penthouses in the Cortijo Colorado area, on the slopes above La Cala de Mijas. The buildings step down the hillside so that the terraces face the coast, and some homes have a private solarium on the roof. Inside the gated grounds there are outdoor pools for adults and for children, landscaped gardens, a gym with a sauna, and a coworking room.

Structure and walls

A reinforced concrete frame, with insulated façades in soft colours. The wall between one home and the next is built to keep sound out, and the walls between rooms are insulated plasterboard.

Windows and doors

Aluminium frames with a thermal break, an insulating strip that stops heat and cold passing through the frame, and double glazing. Insulated roller blinds in the bedrooms. A reinforced front door with a security lock, lacquered doors inside, and fitted wardrobes with a hanging rail and a shelf for luggage.

Buying this as a new build

The buildings are finished, so there is no construction period to wait through. A reservation of €20,000 holds the home, and the rest of the price is paid at the notary when the deeds are signed, about 30 days later. Prices are before IVA, which is added at 10 per cent.
