A ventilation system runs continuously in every home, drawing in fresh air through HEPA filters, which trap fine dust and pollen, and recovering the warmth from the stale air it removes. An aerothermal heat pump, working from the outside air and supported by solar energy, provides the heating, cooling and hot water.
Large porcelain tiles run from the living room straight out onto the terrace, with matching skirting boards. The ceilings are finished in a mineral limewash, which helps keep the humidity indoors even, with LED lighting set into coves in the living room and the main bedroom.
A ceramic island at the centre, porcelain surfaces and built-in Miele appliances, in a kitchen that opens onto the living room.
Toilets and basins mounted on the wall, leaving the floor beneath them clear, and stone-effect porcelain on the bathroom walls.
Doors are framed up to the ceiling, with a fixed panel above each one, and every bedroom has a wardrobe. The main bedroom has a sliding lattice door, bronze glass and built-in LED lighting.
Fifty of the homes carry a fuller interior design. Their kitchens add a Miele combination steam oven, a wine cabinet, a vacuum-sealing drawer and a Quooker tap for boiling water. The main bathroom has a smart toilet, and the terraces are designed around a pool and an outdoor kitchen with a teppanyaki griddle.
